IMPORTANT OSS UPDATE

Dear Fifth Grade Parents,
Due to heavy snow and high winds we have decided to leave for OSS on Tuesday morning at 7:30 am. Students still need to be at school tomorrow morning at 7:30 am with their luggage and any medication. Health checks will be done at that time. School will end at regular time tomorrow, 2:55 pm. Thank you for your cooperation.

Sincerely,
Christina Desiderio
Principal

Dear Stevenson Families,

“Because works of art are almost always about ‘something’, they can be the glue that binds the curriculum together and helps kids synthesize all of their learning throughout the day,” Christine Marmé Thompson, an art education professor from the Pennsylvania State University.  I love this quote for two reasons; one, the words are spoken by a professor from my alma mater, Pennsylvania State University, and two, because it is so true.  This is true for any artwork your children produce at home as well.  This week’s challenge is to draw, paint, or create a piece of art that ties into an activity you and your child participated in this weekend.  Email me a picture of the artwork and I will email your child a message once received. I look forward to a full inbox!

Sincerely,
Christina Desiderio
