Different ways to get involved!

Our parent involvement makes the difference between having a good school to one that is an exemplary school!

For parents that want to volunteer in class or participate at school activities during regular school hours, there is an approval process everyone must go through for the safety of our students and staff.  The process involves filling out a volunteer form, going through a professional background check and when necessary, getting a tuberculosis skin test.  Please download our VOLUNTEER PACKET for all information.  Once you fill out each form, please them bring into our office and submit to Carol Rowsey.

Becoming an in-class volunteer allows you to spend time in your child’s class assisting his/her teacher.  It’s a wonderful way for parents to learn all about what happens in class, meet your child’s class-mates and very important, create a bond with your student’s teacher.

If you have any questions about how to become a Stevenson Approved Parent Volunteer, please email Carol at CarolRowsey@burbankusd.org.

If volunteering in class is difficult for you, you can still help out by offering your assistance to your child’s teacher, or ask our PTA & FFS for things that you can do at home.  This may include creating event flyers or program information handouts, creating spreadsheets or any other materials that you can work on at home on your own time.
